Question:
How long will it take to get the information requested?
Answer:
The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) will provide written notification within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of the request, pursuant to California Government Code Section 6253, whether your request seeks inspection or copies of disclosable public records which are in the possession of OCTA . Thereafter, any disclosable public records in the possession of OCTA will be made promptly available upon payment in advance of the costs of duplication.
If the requesting party seeks only access to inspect the requested records, arrangements will be made for said review during normal business hours Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
If the request is submitted after 4:30 p.m., on the weekend, or on a holiday, the date received is the next business day.
Please note that staff needs to collect the records and review the records for any exempt information, and potentially consult with the Authority's General Counsel before making the records available for production. These tasks must be completed in addition to and in conjunction with normal Authority business. Voluminous requests may take additional time to complete. Therefore, please make a focused and specific request that describes identifiable records.
